about me

Welcome to The Procrastinating Mommy! You totally found me because you were searching for a self-help website in dealing with your procrastination, huh?  No? Good! Because it's the complete opposite.  So if you have any ideas on how I can get a little more organized ... by all means, let's grab a glass of wine and discuss this!

This is a blog, started by a Mom, to keep a diary of her hysterically jacked up day-to-day shenanigans.  I'll give you the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to living a day in my house.

There is no doubt that I love my family, my friends and my life. Regardless of how much I bitch about them.  If you shudder the moment you hear somebody drop the f dash dash dash word … then this isn't the blog for you.

My name is Amanda Topinka.  I'm from a two-stop-light town in Kansas just outside of Wichita.  I'm a 30-something-year-old Mom of two boys.
I cuss and smile a lot. Reader beware. But I keep it classy ya'll. I promise.
I'm a flip-flop wearing, Sonic Cherry Limeade chugging, God worshipping, silhouette machine learning, mommy blogging, always traveling, reality tv watching, Moscato sipping, Disney obsessing, kidney cancer fighting, amateur picture taking, beginner running, music loving, small town girl. I am a travel writer for TravelingMom and you will often find other travel articles I've written on here. I'm extremely proud and feel very honored and blessed to be considered a part of this awesome network of talented women.  Make sure you stop by and check us out!
NOTE:  I have recently been victim of identity theft and libelous allegations and dealing with a legal battle for all of it.  Please ask me before believing what you read or hear.  Or don't.  That's your perogative.  Because we all know that everything we read on the internet is true, right?  Thank y'all.  You're so good.

This is Cale. My husband. My comrade in arms. My knight in shining armor.  Ok, I'll stop.
He has diagnosed ADD and a sleep disorder.  I was weary about dating him as he is a good 9.5 years older than me. We're complete opposites and it makes our relationship all the more interesting. He's my rock. He makes me laugh like I've never laughed before. And he makes me swoon just by wearing a certain shirt or giving me a smoldering look. We said "I Do" in June 2006. While everyday is a battle dealing with his ADD and sleep disorder, I couldn't imagine my life without him.

This is our oldest, Cash.  He loves all things Fortnite and sports. He loves basketball and soccer and playing outside any chance he gets. He can turn a horrible day into one of the best by telling you one of his stories.  His Dad is his best friend and his brother is second. But I've got a special place in his heart that nobody can ever replace

Meet Christopher.  He is ALLLLLL boy! He's the boss and he's ornery.
While my dream was to have a football team of little boys running around my house ... my plans have definitely changed since having him.  I mean that in the nicest way!  Chris is the sweetest, loviest and funniest little boy you'll ever meet.  He lights up the room with his beautiful eyes and big smile. He's a handful and keeps me on my toes, but I wouldn't have it any other way. He's a mama's boy to the Nnth degree and I love it!

The MAIN reason I started blogging is because of the people to the left. My blog, however, has grown into my business and my vent-space. It's become a long, cuss-filled, storybook of my adventure with some kick ass PR stuff thrown in there.  I only review products that will benefit my family AND my readers!

So grab a glass of wine, sit down, get comfy, and enjoy my story. Could you grab me a glass of wine too though. I'm gonna need it!
