The kids have gone back to school, structure is starting to kick in, and
homework and after school practices have begun. And if your house is anything
like our house, our boys know that shortly after school starts … football
season is not far behind. Which is a
pretty BIG deal in our house!
All of our friends and family know that when the team has kicked off …
you either hush, or join in with the screaming. We can get a little loud. And if we actually GO to a game, well, we’re that family that can get a little cray
cray too. But that’s what makes it fun,
right? In our book, the words “football”
and “family” just go together like “pizza” and “beer” errrr, “pop”!
On Saturday, September 6th, KU will play their first game ofthe season AT HOME in Lawrence, Kansas against the Southeast Missouri
RedHawks. This is a great family event
to go to get your football on. And the
Topinka’s can’t wait!!
And as if football isn’t already family-friendly enough … the Junior
Jayhawks Kid’s Club is recruiting! If your child is 13 and under s/he can join
the official Junior Jayhawks Kids Club!
The Junior Jayhawk Kids Club encourages all young Jayhawk fans to set
goals, dream big, be active, and cheer on the Jayhawks! As a member, your child
will receive special emails about events and experiences. These events may
include unique experiences like cheering with the spirit squad, behind the
scene tours of the Kansas University state-of-the art facilities, special
invitations to watch practice, and SO much more! There’s no better way to kick off the next era of
Kansas athletics in the Big Twelve than with the next generation of fans
joining a new club!
College football season is right around the corner! This year, score
big points with your family by spending Saturdays in Lawrence at the University
of Kansas Jayhawks football games. From visiting a unique city, viewing a
beautiful campus, tailgating in the parking lot, and cheering on the crimson
