A Day to Remember. Because our Veterans will never Forget

Not just every day, but especially on Memorial Day, we reflect on how great a price we have paid with the loss of incredible young people - people of strong moral fiber, hardworking, and overall good people who would have continued to contribute to the greatness of this nation after their days of military service were completed. They were/are not battle points. They are individuals who were brave enough to put on their uniform every day and go in harm's way to protect this beautiful country, their families, our families, and their fellow soldiers.

Memorial Day is conceived as a day of remembrance, where no one should forget that those who died were individuals who will no longer be able to celebrate a birthday, an accomplishment, or a special family event. On this somber day, people need to take a moment out of their busy lives and think about the ultimate sacrifice made by those who have served so Americans can maintain their lifestyles.

Memorial Day may only be celebrated once a year, but America's veterans and service members are always close at heart.

I’m asking that you say this thought and prayer below before signing off of my website. Memorial Day is a day to remember. Please, please do … because our soldiers will never forget.


Dear Heavenly Father,

As we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms we enjoy every day, we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please hold our servicemen and women in your strong arms. Cover them with your sheltering grace and your presence as they stand in the gap for our protection.

We also remember the families of our troops. We ask for your unique blessings to fill their homes, and we pray your peace, provision, and strength will fill their lives.

May the members of our armed forces be supplied with courage to face each day and may they trust in the Lord's mighty power to accomplish each task. Let our military brothers and sisters feel our love and support.

In the name of Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
